About Us
The Diamond Project is a 501 (C)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Curtis Morgan. Curtis Morgan has years of experience playing in the Minor Leagues. His commitment to youth and giving them the opportunity to develop in skill, opportunity and talent birthed The Diamond Project.
Our mission is to ensure that inner-city youth are encouraged and empowered through the discipline and skill of baseball and softball to access doors of opportunity and success. Our Board of Directors and Team of Coaches objective is to provide youth ages 10-15 the fundamentals, skills and discipline to change the lives of inner city youth.
Our goal is to create teams for healthy sportsmanship like competition while attracting scholarship opportunities, growth and development to be a tool that increases their positive life outcomes.
Statistical data shows that if children participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, their school attendance, behavior and self-esteem improve. ~ 2004 Kids Count Data Book.
The Diamond Project shares space with Morgan’s Next Level Training, a training site with state of the art equipment and space to provide a year round training experience.
The Diamond Project is more than just another youth serving extracurricular sports program but we are a building a community of inner city youth one team at a time.

“
It is so fun to see the kids that train here through out the years have success on the field. When that success comes whether its a sack fly to score a runner or center field home run it is because they were prepared.
